ADVANCED COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY

Giant’s High Performance Grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.

ADVANCED COMPOSITE SL TECHNOLOGY

Giant’s Professional Grade raw carbon material is woven in our own composite factory using our most advanced engineering and construction methods including: Continuous Fiber Technology to add strength while reducing weight; Carbon Nanotube Technology resin to improve impact resistance; and Fusion Process for lighter, stronger frame junctions.

ADVANCED FORGED COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY

A state-of-the-art high-pressure molding process is used to produce complex-shaped carbon fiber components that are lighter, stiffer and stronger than similar components made from aluminum. This technology is used in critical performance parts such as Maestro Suspension rocker links.

ALUXX ALUMINUM TECHNOLOGY

This Performance level frame material features 6061 alloy with single-butted tubes to produce strong, lightweight framesets for a variety of different bikes and riding styles.

ALUXX SLR ALUMINUM TECHNOLOGY

This superlight Pro level aluminum material is made predominantly from 6011 alloy and delivers the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any Giant aluminum frameset. State-of-the-art microscopic grain manipulation and advanced butting allows for 20 percent thinner and lighter tube shapes than ALUXX SL framesets.

AEROSYSTEM SHAPING TECHNOLOGY

Through CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and wind-tunnel data, engineers optimize each tube shape to deliver superior aerodynamic performance.

COMAX COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY

This proprietary blend of pure carbon fiber and fiber-reinforced polymer allows Giant engineers to design framesets that deliver comfort, efficiency and lightweight performance, with a ride quality that’s tuned for sport and fitness riders.

COMPACT ROAD DESIGN

Introduced by Giant with the professional Team ONCE in the 1990s, Compact Road revolutionized the look and feel of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward sloping toptube (from the headtube to the seattube) creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders of all sizes to have a perfect fit.

COMPLIANCE TUNED TECHNOLOGY

Specific composite layup and tube shaping, including ultra-thin and flattened seatstays, a low seatstay/seattube junction, and thin, slightly curved fork legs combine for a balanced, compliant ride quality and reduced rider fatigue.

D-FUSE TECHNOLOGY

The D-Fuse seatpost and handlebar were designed to function as a system, absorbing road shocks and vibrations so you can ride farther, faster.

FLEXPOINT SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY

A proven “single-pivot” design that uses the flexing action of the chainstay/seatstay junction to produce a lightweight and durable suspension system with 4.7 inches/120mm of rear travel.

INTEGRATED SEATPOST

Designed as a key performance factor in the overall frameset, the integrated seatpost saves up to 45 grams compared to standard composite posts, while improving aerodynamics and adding road-smoothing compliance.

INTERNAL SEATPOST CLAMP

A lightweight, all-internal seatpost locking mechanism provides confident clamping force with clean performance and aesthetics.

HYBRID CYCLING TECHNOLOGY

Hybrid Cycling Technology is a system that combines electric power with human power to produce the most efficient, powerful and natural E-bike riding experience. It’s a seamless extension of a rider’s own power that sets Giant E-bikes apart from other “electric” bicycles. The system consists of four key innovative technologies that work in unison with your own body’s power output—a seamless extension of your own capabilities.

The most advanced steerer tube technology in today’s Giant bikes. Designed to offer unprecedented front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/2” lower, 1 1/4” upper) and tapered steerer tube work in harmony to provide supreme steering stiffness.

Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/4” lower and 1 1/8” upper for road, 1 1/2” lower and 1 1/8” upper for mountain) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.

PEDALPLUS 4-SENSOR TECHNOLOGY

The PedalPlus 4-sensor technology system combines speed and torque sensors with motor and pedal rotation sensors to produce consistent power across the entire gear range. It precisely measures the amount of force a rider is applying to the pedals so that the motor delivers a seamless power boost.

POWERCORE

A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeterwide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.

RIDECONTROL CHARGE

RideControl Charge combines all functions in one device. It displays the EnergyPak capacity, which power assist mode is being used, and speed or total distance. Its sleek design provides an ergonomic, handlebar-mounted control center so that the support levels can be accessed easily and comfortably. RideControl Charge also offers convenient charging with its user-friendly USB charger. And now Giant E-bikes can be wheeled along more easily with our new Walk-Assist function.

And with its aluminum housing, the RideControl EVO is more shockproof and durable, even on rough terrain. The RideControl EVO can be connected with Bluetooth by our dealers and offers USB charging possibilities. The Bluetooth connectivity makes sure the RideControl can be updated—meaning you’ll always be up to date with the latest software technology.

RideControl ONE takes your E-bike riding experience to new levels with integrated button controls and a clean handlebar free of any display. The E-bikes equipped with RideControl ONE can connect with the Giant E-bike App to function as your E-bike display

This frame comes prepared to accept the Giant RideSense sensor and accompanying hardware.

This full-composite, lightweight and highly aerodynamic seatpost is engineered specifically for performance road riding.

DYNAMIC BALANCED LACING

Engineered with more leverage on the “pulling” spoke and less on the “pushing” spoke, DBL technology maximizes the performance of the wheel while it’s in a dynamic state by forming a perfect balance of spoke tension to deliver optimal transmission stiffness and braking performance.

DYNAMIC CYCLING FIT

Cycling gear that functions best while in motion. That’s the idea behind Dynamic Cycling Fit (DCF), an overarching design philosophy that lifts premium new products in Giant’s gear collection to a higher level of performance, fit and comfort.

EXOBEAM

ExoBeam is a unique sole technology that combines stiffness in the forefoot, wheremost of a rider’s power is applied, with strategically engineered flex zones that reduce tension and strain in the lower leg by allowing the foot to move in a more natural way. ExoBeam puts the stiffness where it needs to be and allows just enough flex in other areas of the shoe.

EXOFLEX

The ExoFlex toe area allows the front of the foot to flex naturally, which boosts comfort and stability on uneven terrain. And a wide, full-coverage rubber tread gives the shoe a sure-footed feel in dry or wet conditions.

EXOWRAP

ExoWrap works in harmony with the ExoBeam to produce a unique 360-degree foot enclosure for customizable fit and support. While most shoe enclosures simply pull the foot down toward the sole, ExoWrap fully supports the foot by also pulling up.

MES

Motion Efficiency System combines a stiff and efficient pedaling platform with just enough torsional flex to reduce pressure and strain in the lower leg. The result is a more natural foot movement during the pedal stroke to optimize comfort, power transfer and efficiency.

MIPS

The MIPS BPS (Brain Protection System) is designed to add protection in helmets against the rotational motion. The rotational motion is a combination of rotational energy (angular velocity) and rotational forces (from angular acceleration) that both affects the brain and increases the risk for minor and severe brain injuries. MIPS BPS has been scientifically proven to reduce rotational motion when implemented in a helmet by absorbing and redirecting rotational energies and forces transferred to the brain.

PARTICLE FLOW

A tailor-made feel is now achievable through Particle Flow Technology, which are free-flowing particles are inserted into two separate pockets within the saddle structure. The particles mold to the rider’s unique pelvic contact condition, reducing pressure points by more than 20 percent and distributing pressure across a broader contact area. The result is optimal performance through superior comfort and support.

PROTEXTURA

Wind protection, durable waterrepellent finishes and laminations are engineered to fend off windy and rainy conditions, while including breathability to assistance your body in regulation of body temperature.

THERMTEXTURA

ThermTextura™ fabric incorporates all the benefits of TransTextura™ fabric by transferring body moisture from inside while insulating you from the cold air outside.

TRANSTEXTURA

Permanent denier gradient transfer technology uses capillary action to pull moisture away from the skin to the fabric surface for rapid evaporation and quick drying.
